Creatininase, Microorganism

Creatininase

Creatininase, Microorganism is a homohexameric enzyme derived from Pseudomonas putida, primarily functioning as a creatinine amidohydrolase. This enzyme catalyzes the hydrolysis of creatinine to creatine, thereby facilitating further metabolism to urea and sarcosine by creatinase. It is widely utilized in biochemical research to study nitrogen metabolism and assess renal function in various experimental settings.
