Crinecerfont tosylate

CRF1 Receptor Antagonist

Crinecerfont tosylate is a selective antagonist of the corticotropin-releasing factor receptor type-1 (CRF1). This compound effectively inhibits CRF1 receptor signaling, leading to a reduction in adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) secretion. Its ability to enhance the sensitivity of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis negative feedback makes it valuable in studies related to chronic stress and classic congenital adrenal hyperplasia caused by 21-hydroxylase deficiency. Additionally, Crinecerfont tosylate features an alkyne group, allowing it to participate in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) reactions, further expanding its utility in chemical biology research.
