SLC25A1 Inhibitor
CTPI-2 is a selective inhibitor of the mitochondrial citrate carrier SLC25A1, exhibiting a KD of 3.5 μM. This compound effectively inhibits glycolysis and downregulates PPARγ and its target, GLUT4. CTPI-2 demonstrates potential in reversing key alterations associated with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), reducing inflammatory macrophage infiltration in both liver and adipose tissue, and significantly mitigating obesity resulting from high-fat diets. Additionally, CTPI-2 shows promising antitumor activity, making it a valuable reagent for research in metabolic disorders and cancer biology.
