Cx43 HC Inhibitor

Cx43 HC-IN-1 is a selective and orally active inhibitor targeting connexin hemichannels (Cx43 HC). This compound effectively reduces hemichannel activity associated with Cx43/Cx45 in denervated skeletal muscle fibers, promoting a significant increase in the reinnervation rate of these fibers by neurons. Additionally, Cx43 HC-IN-1 mitigates neuroinflammation and neuronal overexcitation in glial cells in the brain, thereby alleviating epilepsy in mouse models. This reagent is valuable for research focused on epilepsy and muscle pathologies.
