Cyclic ADP-ribose

Ca+-Mobilization Messenger

Cyclic ADP-ribose (cADPR) serves as a critical second messenger involved in calcium mobilization, synthesized from NAD+ by ADP-ribosyl cyclase. It primarily functions by facilitating the release of calcium from the endoplasmic reticulum through Ryanodine receptors and also contributes to extracellular calcium influx via the activation of TRPM2 channels. cADPR is instrumental in various cellular signaling processes, making it valuable for research related to calcium signaling pathways and their implications in physiological and pathological conditions.
