Cyclopentenylcytosine

CTP synthetase Inhibitor

Cyclopentenylcytosine is a potent inhibitor of CTP synthetase, leading to the depletion of CTP and dCTP pools. This compound demonstrates broad-spectrum antiviral activity against both DNA and RNA viruses, and has been shown to enhance the radiosensitization effect of Gemcitabine in human pancreatic cancer cells. Additionally, Cyclopentenylcytosine exhibits effective antiviral properties in the Ad5/NZW rabbit ocular replication model and shows anti-tumor activity in various tumor xenograft models. It is a valuable reagent for research in virology and oncology.
