Cytidine-5'-triphosphate

Nucleoside Triphosphate

Cytidine-5'-triphosphate is a nucleotide triphosphate that serves as a critical precursor in the synthesis of nucleotides and nucleic acids, as well as lipid biosynthesis. It is produced from uridine 5'-triphosphate (UTP) through the action of cytidine triphosphate synthase. Additionally, Cytidine-5'-triphosphate plays a vital role in the de novo pyrimidine biosynthetic pathway in organisms such as Toxoplasma gondii, making it important for various biochemical studies and applications in molecular biology and pharmacology.
