Cytochalasin E

Actin Depolymerization Agent

Cytochalasin E is a potent actin depolymerization agent that functions by binding to and capping the barbed end of actin filaments, thereby inhibiting actin elongation. This compound is derived from the Aspergillus fungus and has demonstrated significant effects in inhibiting angiogenesis and tumor growth. Cytochalasin E is widely utilized in research to study cytoskeletal dynamics, cellular motility, and the mechanisms of cancer progression.
