D-AP7

iGluR

D-AP7 is a selective antagonist of the NMDA receptor, primarily targeting ionotropic glutamate receptors (iGluRs). It demonstrates inhibitory effects on epileptiform activity, significantly reducing the duration and frequency of exogenously induced neuronal bursts. Additionally, D-AP7 enhances the amplitude of secondary action potentials, potentially aiding in the restoration of neuronal function during epileptiform episodes. Furthermore, it has been observed to induce anxiogenic effects and impair memory consolidation in passive avoidance learning paradigms, making it relevant for studies investigating neuropharmacology and epilepsy.
