D-Trp-Aib
Amyloid-β Inhibitor
D-Trp-Aib is a dipeptide that functions as an amyloid-β inhibitor. It facilitates the formation of non-toxic, amorphous clusters from misfolded amyloid-β monomers and toxic oligomers, thereby decreasing the accumulation of harmful amyloid β1-42 deposits. Additionally, D-Trp-Aib effectively inhibits the amyloid fibril formation of α-synuclein, islet amyloid polypeptide (IAPP), and calcitonin. This compound is valuable for research focused on Alzheimer's disease and related amyloidosis disorders.
