Danazol

Synthetic Steroid

Danazol is a synthetic steroid that primarily inhibits the proliferation of cancer cells, specifically MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7, with IC50 values of 65 µg/mL and 31 µg/mL, respectively. It effectively arrests the cell cycle at the G1 phase and induces apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 cells via the PKCα signaling pathway. This compound is valuable for research on breast cancer biology and therapeutic strategies.
