Daratumumab
Daratumumab is a pioneering human-specific monoclonal antibody (IgG1) targeting CD38, a surface antigen widely expressed on multiple myeloma (MM) cells. This first-in-class antibody exhibits potent anti-myeloma activity by disrupting cell adhesion, thereby enhancing the susceptibility of MM cells to proteasome inhibitors. Daratumumab serves as a critical tool in the therapeutic arsenal against multiple myeloma, offering a novel mechanism of action that complements existing treatment modalities.
