DC-Chol hydrochloride

Aβ40 Fibril Formation Inhibitor

DC-Chol hydrochloride is a cationic lipid that functions as an Aβ40 fibril formation inhibitor. It demonstrates a dose-dependent inhibition of amyloidogenesis, particularly in oxidized human calcitonin. Additionally, DC-Chol hydrochloride promotes the production of Th1 (IL-2 and IFN-γ) and Th2 (IL-5) cytokines, thereby enhancing immune responses to antigens. This reagent is widely utilized in research for applications such as gene delivery and the development of hepatitis B vaccines to improve vaccine efficacy.
