DEC-RVRK-CMK

CMK Inhibitor

DEC-RVRK-CMK is a peptide-based inhibitor of the CMK (chloromethylketone) class, specifically targeting the secreted soluble kexin (Kex2) with a Ki of 8.45 μM. Kexin (Kex2), a calcium-dependent transmembrane protease classified under the serine protease subtilisin family, plays an essential role in protein maturation processes in yeast. This compound is particularly useful for studying substrate selectivity and the differential binding interactions of Kex2 with various CMK inhibitors, highlighting the positional effects of amino acids such as lysine and arginine.
