Deoxynyboquinone

NQO1 Substrate

Deoxynyboquinone is a potent substrate for NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1) and serves as an effective antineoplastic agent. This compound induces apoptosis in various cancer cell lines, primarily through mechanisms involving oxidative stress and the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Its ability to selectively target cancer cells makes it a valuable tool in cancer research and therapeutic studies.
