Dexmedetomidine
α2-adrenoceptor Agonist
Dexmedetomidine is a selective agonist of the α2-adrenoceptor, exhibiting a high affinity with a Ki of 1.08 nM and demonstrating 1620-fold selectivity over the α1-adrenoceptor. This compound is known for its anxiolytic and sedative properties, as well as providing modest analgesic effects.
