Dextran T70 (MW 70,000)
High MW Polysaccharid
Dextran T70 (MW 70,000) is a high molecular weight polysaccharide consisting of glucose units linked by α-(1→6) glycosidic bonds. It exerts colloidal osmotic pressure to expand blood volume and inhibits cell adhesion and platelet aggregation via steric hindrance. Additionally, Dextran T70 serves as an effective drug carrier for targeted delivery through endocytosis and is biologically inert with low immunogenicity. It is applicable in clinical blood volume expansion, anti-thrombotic research, and studies assessing vascular permeability. Furthermore, Dextran T70 can be utilized in conjunction with fluorescent dyes for cell tracking and drug delivery applications, and it can form biodegradable nanoparticles and hydrogels for controlled release.
