Dichamanetin

C-Benzylated Flavanone

Dichamanetin is a C-benzylated flavanone with significant antibacterial and anticancer properties. It exhibits potent antibacterial activity against various Gram-positive strains, including resistant Staphylococcus aureus, showing minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) ranging from 1 to 7.5 μg/mL. Furthermore, Dichamanetin inhibits cancer cell proliferation through the modulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) signaling and induces mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis. This reagent is applicable in research focused on infections as well as colon, prostate, and breast cancers.
