Difethialone

Anti-coagulant Rodenticide

Difethialone is an anticoagulant rodenticide that targets vitamin K metabolism in the liver. By disrupting the synthesis of coagulation factors, difethialone effectively prevents proper blood coagulation, leading to internal bleeding and mortality in both warfarin-sensitive and resistant rodent populations. This compound is valuable for research focused on the ecological impacts of rodenticides and the mechanisms of anticoagulant resistance.
