Dihydrocytochalasin B

Arp2/3 Complex

Dihydrocytochalasin B targets the Arp2/3 complex and acts as a potent cytokinesis inhibitor. It disrupts the actin cytoskeleton, leading to altered cell morphology similar to cytochalasin B, while selectively not affecting glucose transport. Dihydrocytochalasin B reversibly inhibits the initiation of DNA synthesis in response to growth factors, and additionally impacts calcium transport, resulting in elevated intracellular Ca2+ levels. This compound is valuable for research in cell division, cell motility, and intracellular signaling pathways.
