Dimethyl itaconate

ROS Inducer

Dimethyl itaconate acts as a reactive oxygen species (ROS) inducer and is known for its immunomodulatory properties. It enhances innate immune memory (trained immunity) while inhibiting microglial activation, thereby reducing neuroinflammation and synaptic structural damage. Additionally, dimethyl itaconate has been shown to influence the composition of intestinal microbiota, making it useful for studies related to immune response and neuroinflammatory conditions.
