Diosbulbin C
DiterpeneLactone
Diosbulbin C is a diterpene lactone derived from the traditional Chinese medicinal plant Dioscorea bulbifera L. It exhibits significant anticancer activity specifically in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) by inducing cell cycle arrest at the G0/G1 phase. Additionally, Diosbulbin C inhibits the proliferation of NSCLC cells, likely through the downregulation of key proteins such as AKT, DHFR, and TYMS, making it a valuable compound for cancer research.
