DL-Fluorocitric acid barium
Glial Cell Metabolic Inhibitor
DL-Fluorocitric acid barium is a glial cell metabolic inhibitor that effectively targets neuronal metabolic pathways. This compound has been shown to attenuate mechanical hyperalgesia induced by complete Freund's adjuvant in rat models, as well as nociceptive behaviors triggered by histamine in mice. Additionally, it inhibits the phosphorylation of the NMDA receptor NR1 subunit in the lumbar spinal cord, making it a valuable tool for investigating mechanisms of mechanical hyperalgesia and nociceptive pain.
