DPPG

Biological Reagent

DPPG (1,2-Dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoglycerol sodium) is a phospholipid that acts as a stabilizing agent in various biological systems. With palmitic acid chains at both the sn-1 and sn-2 positions, DPPG is effective in preventing the penetration of BaP molecules into aqueous environments. This compound is commonly used in the preparation of micelles, liposomes, and artificial membranes, demonstrating resistance to UV radiation and thereby supporting research in drug delivery and membrane biophysics.
