GyrB Inhibitor

DS-2969b is a selective GyrB inhibitor that exhibits potent antibacterial activity. It is particularly effective against Clostridium difficile, demonstrating an MIC90 of 0.06 μg/mL, significantly outperforming conventional treatments such as Fidaxomicin, Metronidazole, and Vancomycin. By inhibiting the supercoiling activity of C. difficile DNA gyrase, DS-2969b also shows efficacy against various Gram-positive anaerobes. Preclinical toxicology studies indicate that DS-2969b is safe and well tolerated, making it a promising candidate for further research in combating bacterial infections.
