'Mannose Receptor Targeting Agent'
DSPE-PEG(2000)-Mannose serves as a mannose receptor targeting agent, facilitating the selective delivery of therapeutic payloads. This mannose-conjugated lipid is used to form mannose-modified liposomes (Man-lipo) that effectively encapsulate siRNA, such as IDO siRNA, demonstrating enhanced targeting and knockdown of IDO expression in immune tissues like lymph nodes and spleens in melanoma-bearing mice. The application of Man-lipo-siIDO has shown potential in delaying tumor onset and reducing overall tumor volume, making it a valuable tool for cancer research and therapy development.
