Antiplatelet Agent

DT-678 is an orally active antiplatelet agent that functions as an antithrombotic inhibitor. This compound is a conjugate formed by linking the active metabolite of Clopidogrel with 3-nitropyridine-2-thiol through a mixed disulfide bond. Unlike Clopidogrel, DT-678 does not depend on CYP2C19 for activation; instead, it directly releases active agents via thiol exchange reactions in vivo, demonstrating enhanced efficacy.
