Duclauxin

Antiproliferative Agent

Duclauxin is an antiproliferative agent that targets mitochondrial respiration and nucleic acid synthesis. It effectively decreases the proliferation of various tumor cells in vitro, demonstrating significant efficacy against P-388 tumor cells and several other cancerous cell lines, including Ehrlich ascitic tumor cells, NK/LI lymphadenomas, and sarcoma 37. Additionally, Duclauxin has been shown to enhance the lifespan of mice inoculated with Ehrlich ascitic tumor cells and inhibits the growth of wheat coleoptile, making it a valuable tool for cancer research and studies in plant biology.
