DXR Inhibitor
DXR-IN-2 is a selective inhibitor of 1-deoxy-D-xylulose-5-phosphate reductoisomerase (DXR), critically involved in the methyl erythritol phosphate (MEP) pathway. This compound exhibits potent antimalarial activity with an IC50 value of 0.1062 μM against Plasmodium falciparum DXR and 0.369 μM for overall P. falciparum growth inhibition. DXR-IN-2 is valuable for research aimed at exploring the MEP pathway and developing new antimalarial strategies.
