E197

DOCK5 Inhibitor

E197 is a selective inhibitor of DOCK5, targeting the regulatory pathways of osteoclast function. It disrupts the podosome belt structure in osteoclasts, resulting in the inhibition of bone resorption with an IC50 of 3.44 μM in human osteoclasts. Additionally, E197 inhibits Rac activity in DOCK5-expressing HEK293 cells with an IC50 of 36 μM. This compound demonstrates potential in preventing bone loss, as evidenced in mouse ovariectomized models, making it a valuable tool for research in osteoporosis and bone pathology.
