DCSTAMP Antagonist

E8431 is a DCSTAMP antagonist that disrupts the cell-cell fusion essential for osteoclastogenesis. By inhibiting the RAP1B-RAC1 signaling pathway, E8431 prevents cytoskeletal reorganization, effectively blocking pre-fusion events in osteoclasts. This compound not only inhibits bone resorption but also promotes the secretion of PDGFBB, enhancing bone and vascular formation. E8431 has demonstrated efficacy in reducing bone loss in ovariectomy-induced mouse models, making it valuable for osteoporosis research.
