Elsibucol

VCAM1 Inhibitor

Elsibucol is a selective inhibitor of vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM1), primarily utilized in research concerning organ transplant rejection. This metabolically stable propanol derivative exhibits antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-proliferative properties. By lowering blood cholesterol levels and mitigating oxidative stress, Elsibucol reduces inflammatory responses in injured arteries, thereby inhibiting atherosclerosis and promoting endothelial healing following arterial injury.
