ent-Rhizocarpic acid

Enantiomer Of Rhizocarpic Acid

ent-Rhizocarpic acid is an enantiomer of Rhizocarpic acid, primarily targeting bacterial and parasitic organisms. It demonstrates enhanced antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 25923) and effective antiparasitic effects on Giardia duodenalis 713, surpassing the efficacy of its parent compound. Additionally, ent-Rhizocarpic acid exhibits weak yet selective antitumor activity against NS-1 cells, making it a valuable reagent for various biological research applications.
