EP 171

TP Receptor/Platelet Activator

EP 171 is a thromboxane A2 (TP) receptor agonist that acts as a human platelet activator. This compound induces significant constriction of guinea pig trachea, effects that can be reversed by the TP receptor antagonist EP 092. EP 171 demonstrates high affinity for TP receptors on intact human platelets, with an IC50 of 2.9 nM, making it a valuable tool for studying platelet activation and related cardiovascular research.
