Epicaptopril

ACE Inhibitor

Epicaptopril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, primarily functions by promoting vasodilation through an endothelium-derived relaxing factor (EDRF)-dependent mechanism. As a derivative of Captopril, it also acts as a free radical scavenger, providing potential therapeutic benefits in studies related to oxidative stress and free radical-mediated cardiovascular disorders. This compound is valuable for research examining the role of ACE inhibitors in cardiovascular health and the modulation of vascular responses.
