ES9-17
CHC Inhibitor
ES9-17 is a clathrin heavy chain (CHC) inhibitor that disrupts clathrin-mediated endocytosis (CME), a critical process for the internalization of membrane proteins and extracellular molecules in plants. This compound effectively inhibits the uptake of transferrin and FM4-64, providing a valuable tool for studying endocytosis mechanisms. Additionally, ES9-17 is shown to suppress root growth in Arabidopsis seedlings, making it useful for examining the effects of endocytosis on plant development.
