Ethamsylate

Anti-Hemorrhagic Compound

Ethamsylate is an orally active anti-hemorrhagic compound that primarily inhibits the biosynthesis and action of prostaglandins. It is known for its ability to maintain early hemostasis and enhance capillary resistance, making it a valuable reagent in the study of blood coagulation. Additionally, Ethamsylate exhibits antiangiogenic properties, which can impair wound healing and inhibit matrigel tubulogenesis, thus facilitating research into angiogenesis and tissue repair mechanisms.
