Exserohilone

Anti-skin Aging Agent

Exserohilone, a thiodiketopiperazine derivative, functions primarily as an anti-skin aging agent by inhibiting TNF-α-induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) secretion. It effectively enhances the secretion of procollagen type I α1 in human dermal fibroblasts, supporting skin structure and elasticity. This compound is valuable for exploring mechanisms of skin aging and potential therapeutic strategies for skin rejuvenation.
