FA-Ala-Arg

Arg Donator

FA-Ala-Arg is a dipeptide featuring a furylacryloyl group that serves as an arginine donor. Upon degradation, it releases arginine, which is subsequently converted to nitric oxide (NO) within cells, particularly in MCF-7 breast cancer cells. Additionally, FA-Ala-Arg enhances cell survival in the presence of prolactin (PRL), a hormone known to modulate CPD mRNA levels. This compound is relevant for studies focusing on nitric oxide signaling and cancer cell physiology.
