FABP4/5 Inhibitor

FABP4/5-IN-6 is a potent inhibitor of fatty acid-binding proteins 4 and 5, with Ki values of 0.41 and 2.53 μM, respectively, and demonstrates low selectivity for FABP3 (Ki = 59.72 μM). This compound effectively reduces the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as MCP-1 and IL-6 in THP-1 macrophages stimulated by lipopolysaccharides (LPS), exhibiting notable anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, FABP4/5-IN-6 mitigates LPS-induced liver injury, making it a valuable tool for investigating inflammation-related diseases. Its low hERG inhibition (LD50 > 2000 mg/kg) further supports its potential for in vivo studies.
