Factor XI Activation Inhibitor

Factor XI-IN-2 is a specific inhibitor of Factor XI activation with an IC50 of 20 nM. This compound targets the precursor form of the FXI enzyme, allosterically modulating its activation by FXIIa rather than directly inhibiting FXIa's enzymatic activity. Factor XI-IN-2 is effective in reducing thrombosis in the rabbit arteriovenous (AV) shunt thrombosis model, making it a valuable tool for research on antithrombotic therapies and the exploration of coagulation pathways.
