Fadolmidine hydrochloride
α2-AR Agonist
Fadolmidine hydrochloride is a selective agonist of the α2-adrenoceptor (α2-AR), exhibiting EC50 values of 0.4 nM, 4.9 nM, and 0.5 nM for the subtypes 2A, 2B, and 2C, respectively. This compound demonstrates significant analgesic properties across different pain modalities, including heat, mechanical, and visceral pain. Additionally, Fadolmidine hydrochloride effectively inhibits electrically induced contractions in the rat vas deferens, making it a valuable tool for studying pain mechanisms and potential therapies.
