Fadolmidine
α2-Adrenoceptor Agonist
Fadolmidine is a selective agonist for α2-adrenoceptors, exhibiting EC50 values of 0.4 nM, 4.9 nM, and 0.5 nM for the α2A, α2B, and α2C subtypes, respectively. It demonstrates significant efficacy in alleviating multiple types of pain, including heat, mechanical, and visceral pain. Additionally, Fadolmidine inhibits electrically evoked contractions in the rat vas deferens, making it a valuable compound for research applications related to pain management and neuropharmacology.
