Fexlamose

Mucolytic Agent

Fexlamose is a thiol-modified carbohydrate agent that acts as a mucolytic agent by cleaving disulfide bonds to facilitate mucolysis. This compound is particularly significant in research related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and muco-obstructive lung diseases (MOLD), where it may help improve mucus clearance. Fexlamose's ability to modulate mucus properties makes it a valuable tool in understanding and treating respiratory conditions.
