Fibrostatin E

Proline Hydroxylase

Fibrostatin E is a selective inhibitor of proline hydroxylase, an enzyme critical for collagen biosynthesis and cellular processes. This compound, derived from Streptomyces catenulae, demonstrates significant biological activity by modulating hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) stabilization and influencing tissue remodeling. Fibrostatin E is useful in research applications focused on fibrosis, wound healing, and cancer progression, making it a valuable tool for studies investigating extracellular matrix dynamics and related pathologies.
