Anticancer Agent
FLDP-5 is a curcuminoid analogue that effectively penetrates the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and serves as an anticancer agent. It induces the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), leading to DNA damage and S phase cell cycle arrest. FLDP-5 demonstrates significant tumor-suppressive effects, exhibiting potent anti-proliferative and anti-migratory activities in LN-18 glioma cells, making it a valuable compound for cancer research.
