Fluorizoline

Antitumor Agent

Fluorizoline is an antitumor agent that selectively and directly binds to prohibitin 1 (PHB1) and prohibitin 2 (PHB2), promoting apoptosis in cancer cells. It effectively reduces cell viability in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) by upregulating pro-apoptotic factors NOXA and BIM. Notably, Fluorizoline exerts its antitumor effects independent of the p53 pathway, making it a valuable tool for research in cancer biology and therapeutic development.
