Frovatriptan succinate
5-HT1B/1D Receptor Agonist
Frovatriptan succinate is a selective agonist of the 5-HT1B and 5-HT1D receptors, exhibiting a pK50 of 8.2. This compound demonstrates greater than 10-fold selectivity for the targeted receptors compared to 5-HT1A, 5-HT1F, and 5-HT7, and over 1000-fold selectivity against various other receptors, including dopamine, histamine H1, and α1-adrenoceptors.
