Fructose-phenylalanine

ACE Inhibitor

Fructose-phenylalanine is a non-competitive angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that exhibits an IC50 of 0.19 mM. By forming a stable complex with Zn2+ ions at the active site of ACE, it effectively blocks the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, leading to reduced blood pressure. This compound is of significant interest for studying cardiovascular diseases and exploring therapeutic interventions.
