FT-1/GGT-1 Inhibitor
FTI-2148 diTFA is a dual inhibitor of farnesyl transferase-1 (FT-1) and geranylgeranyl transferase-1 (GGT-1), with IC50 values of 1.4 nM and 1.7 μM, respectively. This compound functions as a RAS C-terminal mimetic, effectively disrupting post-translational modification processes critical for RAS signaling. FTI-2148 diTFA is primarily utilized in cancer research to investigate the roles of farnesylation and geranylgeranylation in tumorigenesis and to evaluate potential therapeutic strategies targeting these pathways.
